Monistat 1 Day Maximum Strength is a single-dose over-the-counter treatment for vaginal yeast infections. The combination pack includes a pre-filled single-dose applicator of tioconazole 6.5% ointment (for internal use) plus a tube of external anti-itch creme to relieve outside itch and irritation while the internal treatment works. Designed for adult women and adolescents 12+ who have had a yeast infection previously diagnosed by a doctor and recognize the symptoms. Follow the package insert carefully. If this is a first-ever yeast infection, if symptoms do not improve in 3 days or last more than 7 days, or with fever, pelvic pain or foul-smelling discharge, consult a healthcare provider.
